Why Shfflr Was Created For You...

Shfflr was started because so many sports clubs organisers, many of whom are volunteers, struggle too often when organising large groups of their club members for events & games...that causes confusion, time delays, frustration and stress for both club organisers and playing club members.

This is especially true for "social" events & games when club organisers want to mix-up people so they get to know each...and, when they also want, to help the club member connection & engagement, to be able to organise participants to play based on their ability or gender and more.

This is hard enough when lots of participants turn up on time and follow the organiser's instructions. But it's rarely works perfectly like this!

Because, invariably, these organisers have to rush around a large network of club courts/pitches/etc and tell every single participant to start or end a game, at the right times, then where to play next and also who they're playing with and against.

This always take a lot of time. Too much time - for both club organisers and club members. And so organisers are always looking at their watch, never being able to relax in case they miss their repeated deadlines. And this means they're not really able to focus on other tasks that need their attention - let alone having a proper break.

But, what makes this even more challenging, frustrating and stressful for organisers is...

When participants turn up late, don't turn up at all or leave after or even during games, often without telling anyone, meaning organisers have to re-organise everything constantly, time and time again - invariably on an increasingly messy sheet of paper with lots of crossing out. It's a mess. And, when this happens, those participants who want to carry on are left hanging around while an organiser tries frantically, yet again, to re-adjust those remaining players into the necessary groupings. And this leaves players hanging around unnecessarily and leaves club organisers even more frazzled.

This not only reduces club members' playing time, which is frustrating for them, but, in the colder months, they're also left to get cold which can increase the risk of injuries and the frustration of not being able to play, especially when the weather's "challenging."

And this is why Shfflr's Founder, Seán, a keen sportsman and tennis player, wanted to design an app that took away all the uncertainty, frustration, time, hassle, stress and even money (if, in larger clubs, someone is being paid to manage these events & games and the people taking part in them) for sports clubs. And he also wanted to make life even easier, too, for club members, like him, so they too enjoyed the seamless experience that Shfflr gives those using it.
